Return Jars at Pickup Every Week

Milk is delivered once a week to your selected pickup location, chosen at sign up.

Because we’re working with a fresh, perishable product, on-time pickup is essential. If you miss your pickup, your milk is forfeited for the week and cannot be remade or replaced.

Your milk is provided in reusable glass jars. To keep our system running smoothly:

Return jars at pickup every week, clean and dry

We sanitize and reuse all returned jars

Missing or damaged jars may result in a replacement fee

5 Stars for Fresh Flavor

If you’ve never had raw milk before, don’t walk, run to try it. The flavor is incredible compared to store-bought milk, and it feels so good to drink something truly fresh again.
The last time our family drank raw milk, we went an entire year without getting sick—not even a single cold with young kids in the house. We are so glad we found Moe Acres!
Excellent milk, and I appreciate the herd share structure and communication they provide, great folks!
What is a herdshare, and why can’t I just buy the milk?

Through a herdshare, you purchase partial ownership of our dairy herd. This ownership entitles you to a weekly share of the milk produced. While direct sales of raw milk aren’t allowed in Colorado, herdshares are fully legal. By joining, you agree to our member terms and authorize us to handle all care, milking, and delivery of your herd’s milk.

How does weekly ordering & pickup work?

We'll text/email you each week before we harvest, and you'll have until that week's cutoff time (48 hours before your scheduled pickup) to add extras to your order.

You'll receive another reminder on pickup day with your pickup window and instructions. Don't forget your reusable glass jars!

What happens if I go on vacation/need to skip a week?

Members are allowed to place vacation holds for absences. They will not be charged for their missed orders.

If too many vacations are taken, then the membership can be cancelled. The cows need to be milked regularly, and frequent vacations make it difficult to sustain operations.

What kinds of cows do you have?

Our herd includes Holsteins, Jerseys, and Holstein-Jersey crosses—each known for producing rich, flavorful milk. The girls spend their days on pasture with access to fresh grass hay and a balanced dairy ration (about 1% of their body weight) to keep them healthy and thriving.

Milk supply naturally ebbs and flows with the seasons, calving cycles, and herd health. When those changes affect share amounts, we always communicate openly with our herdshare members.

How should I handle and store my raw milk?

Raw milk must be handled with care to maintain its freshness and safety. Refrigerate immediately after pickup, and keep milk at or below 38°F for best quality.

Use clean glassware only when pouring or storing.

Note: We take every precaution to keep our milk clean and cold — but raw milk is unpasteurized and may carry risks for some people. The milk is provided exclusively to herdshare members in accordance with Colorado law.
